Body Scrubs at Spa Lux in Tulsa

Body scrubs are popular body treatments requested by many clients of SPA LUX. We usually compare them with a facial for the whole body. During the treatment a therapist will exfoliate the whole body in a special “body capsule” that incorporates steam and Vichi shower. The scrub will hydrate your skin, leaving it smooth and soft.

SPA LUX uses different materials like sea salt, brown sugar, walnut shell ground mixed with special massage oils, aromatic essential oils and natural agents like lemon juice. Most of them help to complete the scrub in a most effective and pleasant manner.

What Happens During a Body Scrub?
One of our therapists will take you into the hydrotherapy room. Then the therapist will offer a disposable underwear, explain how to lay down in the capsule and leave the room. The treatment will start in our state-of-the-art hydrotherapy capsule that has a steam function and a Vichy shower built in. The therapist will return and start by gently rubbing the exfoliant on your back, the backs of your arms, and the backs of your legs and feet. You may be draped with a towel so only the part she is working on is exposed. Then you will turn over and she will do the other side. When the exfoliation is over, the therapist will thoroghly rinse you off by lowering the large lid and turning on the Vichy shower. The last step is the application of body lotions and oils. The therapist will use the steam in the course of your treatment to help your skin become more conditioned for exfoliation.
Things to consider:

  • - You can get a body scrub on its own, but often it’s the first step in a Body Mask, often a seaweed or mud wrap, or signature treatments.

- You can also combine a body scrub with a massage. Get the body scrub first because it is stimulating, whereas the massage calms you down.
- All of our treatments are provided by licensed estheticians and massage therapists, so you can always ask them questions about other treatments.
